Each student at NVRHS is required to take three years of mathematics most take four.
In order to offer every student a mathematics class at their level of ability, NVRHS offers various "levels" of Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, PreCalculus and Calculus.
There are seven K8 school districts that send students to NVRHS. As the mathematics program differs for each student, students begin their freshmen year by taking Fundamentals of Algebra I, Algebra I (4X), Algebra I, Geometry, or Honors Geometry.


The most common tracks are:
College Prep Sequence: Algebra I (4X)> Geometry (4X)>Intermediate Algebra II> Trig/Stat or Discrete Math
College Prep Enriched Sequence: Algebra I>Geometry>Algebra II>Precalculus (Trig/Adv Math), Trig/Stat, or Discrete Math
Accelerated Sequence: Geometry>Algebra II>Precalculus (Trig/Adv Math)>Calculus
Honors Sequence: Honors Geometry>Honors Algebra II>Precalculus Honors (EMA)>AP Calculus AB or BC
Electives: AP Computer Science A AP Statistics (11 and 12th grades only)
