Hand in Hand Club
Hand in Hand is a club developed to provide a time for developmentally or physically disadvantaged children to work on social skills. The children who come to us are elementary age children who are from our region but are in self-contained classrooms or in special schools. The students in the high school receive some training in order to be prepared to work with our visitors. We meet once a month after school for two hours and usually once a month at lunchtime to plan for those afterschool meetings. This is a worthwhile experience for all involved...high school students, elementary school children who visit and parents. Parents get some much deserved respite while their children are here at the high school.
